Become a Certified Massage Therapist

The demand for Certified, Licensed Massage Therapist is always growing. There are approximately 350 types of massage modalities, ensuring each individual student will be able to find a niche style that compliments them, or a litany of different types for those who want to branch out. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand is expected to grow by 26 percent from 2020-2025. This continued growth in the industry makes a licensed massage therapist very employable.

As of July 1st, the Massage Therapy Certificate program at NIMA will be comprised of 1000 clock hours and can be completed in 14 months or less. Graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills to be employed in a variety of entry-level occupational settings, such as chiropractic clinics, independent practice, or in the health care and spa industries.

The NIMA program prepares graduates to sit for the Massage Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEX).
